Can't get a Credit Card?

With the ever increasing grip of the The Credit Crunch, more and more people are finding it difficult to get credit, with an estimated 18,000 credit card application being turned down every single day.

First off, if you are having financial difficulties, the first thing that you should do is to seek professional help, see Further Advice.

If you have been turned down by one credit card, then remember that no all cards or companies have the same acceptance criteria. Some credit cards are specifically designed for those who need to start building or rebuilding their credit history, see Capital One Classic Credit Card or for those who have had difficulty in the past, for example County Court Judgements (CCJs), see Vanquis Visa Credit Card.

You should also check to see what your creditworthiness is. You can easily get a copy of your credit-history file from one of the credit reference agencies. This will form a key part if you want to Repair Your Credit History.

MyCreditCardGuide.co.uk have teamed up with Experian to offer you a 30-day free trial of CreditExpert, which you can use to review your credit file.
